University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, full time, “non-exempt”, benefited position through 5/31/2023 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

Salary: $3,640 per month

Location: San Bernardino, CA

Program Summary:

NIH funded project investigating risk factors of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders (ADRD). ADRD is a growing public health concern for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/ANs) people, but AI/ANs are profoundly underrepresented in ADRD research. This study will quantify the extent of probable ADRD and VBI as defined by brain MRI, and determine their associations with cognitive functioning in a diverse sample of urban AI/AN elders.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm though some nights, weekend work may be required. Incumbent must be able to participate in remote or on campus work depending on the directives from the CSUSB campus.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Principle Investigator, the Research Coordinator will work independently to:

Be responsible for scheduling participants, running participants through the protocol, completing blood draws, training students on the protocol, coordinator visits to UC Riverside for the MRI portion of the study and other administrative/research aspects of the study (IRB, purchasing, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate related scientific or engineering discipline.

Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's preferred. Experience in neuropsychological test administration and knowledge/experience working with older adults preferred. Certified in phlebotomy or willingness to undergo certification training.
