The Department of Clinical Research and Leadership at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS) invites applications for a full-time (12 month), non-tenure-track faculty position. The department is home to a variety of academic programs in the areas of translational research, healthcare leadership, emergency health sciences, integrative medicine, and healthcare innovation.  Our multidisciplinary faculty and programs award degrees in BSHS, MSHS, graduate certificates, and doctoral. The department is committed to health equity, professional service, and interprofessional collaboration.

 

Teaching responsibilities will include effort in GW’s nationally ranked online programming. Content areas will include professional writing, qualitative research methods, nutrition, and health and illness. Duties will include in-person and online teaching. Other responsibilities may include leading seminars and workshops, facilitating small group activities, assessing student learning outcomes, recruitment, and advising students. Engaging in scholarly activities, providing service to the university and community, and advancing interprofessional and collaborative practices are also expectations. 

 

The appointment will be made at a rank (assistant/associate/full professor) and salary commensurate with experience. Total compensation includes a generous benefits package. Numerous professional development opportunities are available to SMHS faculty including leadership and teaching programs through the Center for Faculty Excellence. Faculty are also eligible for tuition remission benefits for themselves and family members.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Applicants must hold a terminal degree in Public Health, Higher Education Leadership/Administration, Educational Psychology, Nutrition Sciences or related Health Science field;  and have experience with online course delivery and course development.
