Child Development Center
Job Summary
Prepare food and procvide exceptional service to maintain satisfaction among customers at the Child Development Center. Monitor sanitation practices in order to ensure employees follow standards and regulations. Offer support and direction to student and temporary employees as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Temporary employees are employed according to departmental need and the length of time will vary by workload and may not exceed 1300 hours worked in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities
- Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of
the University
- Work in other departments/locations as needed
- Prepare food according to health and safety
requirements
- Prepare food including cooking, roasting, baking, and the
preparation of skillet meals
- Ensure compliance with menus, recipes, production schedules and
quality standards
- Participate in daily testing of foods
- Portion and package food
- May be called upon to assist with the loading of delivery
vans
- Complete preparation assignments for next day's menu
- Clean equipment and perform other sanitation duties
- Serve clients during special events
Shift Specifics: - Child Development Center hours of operations are from 7:45 AM -
5:30 PM
- 35 hours per week
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience - One (1) years of related work experience
Proposed Salary
$8.00 per hour

- Understanding of portion control
- Knowledge of safe food handling technique and tools
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques such as sautéing,
broiling, frying, and grilling, seasoning methods and portion
control
- Understand the use of food service equipment
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety requirements
