Shenandoah University’s Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing seeks applicants for Psychiatric Mental Health nursing faculty. This is a full-time, benefits position located in Winchester, VA.

This 9 or 12-month part-time or full-time appointment involves teaching psychiatric mental health nursing in the School of Nursing (SON) at the undergraduate or graduate level.

The successful applicant also will be positioned to contribute to the University’s commitment and aspiration to diversity, inclusion, and equity.

About the Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing:

The Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing (SON) is approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Shenandoah University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The School of Nursing offers baccalaureate (4-year traditional, transfer, and accelerated second degree options), Master’s (Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Certified Nurse- Midwifery (CNM), Post Graduate Certificates (FNP, PMHNP, CNM), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (BSN-DNP and post-master’s DNP) programs. The School of Nursing has three physical locations: Winchester and two Northern Virginia sites – Scholar Plaza (Leesburg) and Fairfax – INOVA Center for Personalized Health.

Required Skills

Qualifications:
  • Unencumbered RN license in Virginia, compact state, or eligibility required.

  • A Master’s Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral preparation or enrollment in a doctoral program is preferred.
