Full-time/Part-time Part-Time Position Type Temporary Job Summary/Basic Function
The responsibility of this temporary position is to provide assistance to students enrolled in the Math courses, with a primary focus on corequisite Math courses. This position will be providing support in and out of the classroom, as needed by students and the instructor. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related STEM field.
- Prior experience with teaching or tutoring.
- Candidate must be committed to student retention and success and display exceptional interpersonal and team-working skills.
- Preference to candidates with experience in individual and group mentoring and tutoring at the college level.
- Two years’ experience working at the college level.

Works under the general supervision of the Retention Program Manager.

Collaborate with faculty to help students meet learning outcomes

Provide academic support for students who are having difficulty meeting the learning outcomes of the math courses

Provide individual and group tutoring and mentoring to math students

Recognize and respond to students according to their varying learning needs and use innovative strategies to assist them in grasping and applying subject matter.

Maintain and provide data on students assisted, time spent, and type of assistance provided to supervisor and College Readiness Coordinator.

Serve as resource for math students who are at risk and ensure that they are provided the necessary assistance

Attend math courses as requested by the faculty to ensure consistency of teaching methods and learning outcomes

Hold office hours/open support time in the HUB
