North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC
A&T) invites applications and nominations for the position of
Endowed Professor and Director of the Center of Excellence in
Integrative Health Disparities and Equity Research (CIHDER) in the
Division of Academic Affairs beginning Fall 2022. The endowed
professor will hold a faculty appointment in department of
Psychology within the John and Kathy Hairston College of Health and
Human Sciences with a reporting line to the Dean. As Center
Director, the reporting line will be to the Senior Vice Provost for
Academic Affairs. The appointment rank will be based upon the
candidates qualifications and experience.
The CIHDER will be a hub that brings together scholars of diverse disciplines and backgrounds to formulate new, relevant and transformative research, theories, and models to bring greater clarity and understanding to health disparities and health inequities and to create solutions for their elimination. The CIHDER initiatives will engage stakeholders in the community, industry, and healthcare systems. The endowed professorship in psychology is a prestigious designation for a faculty member who has earned prominence for scholarly and professional achievements in psychology. We seek a health equity research leader with a dynamic, productive research agenda.
This is a 9/10 month tenure-track faculty position.
