The School of Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) seeks a full time, 12 month faculty member for a tenure-track position. The School of Nursing offers the BSN and DNP degrees in nursing and embraces the shared governance model as well as Boyer’s Model of scholarship.
Position: Assistant or Associate Professor, Tenure Track
Effective Date: January 1, 2023
This position will be a 12 month tenure earning position. The person must be doctorally prepared in Nursing or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Teach, advise and chair doctoral projects in the Doctor of Nursing Practice, Nurse Anesthesia Lifespan concentration in the SON graduate program.
- Engage in scholarship activities.
- Participate in service to the School of Nursing, the University and/or profession.
- Assist in monitoring and supporting learner success and collaborate in the process of curriculum development and revision as needed.
- Doctoral preparation in Nursing or related field required. If in a doctoral program, degree conferral must be no later than December 31, 2022.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse required.
- Preparation as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
- A minimum of two years experience as a practicing CRNA
- Experience teaching in an academic environment using both in class and online methodologies is strongly preferred.
