Position Summary:
The University of Idaho's Department of Theatre Arts seeks candidates for a postgraduate position for the academic year 2022-2023. Applicants should have received their MFA in Theatre in the last three (3) years; applications will be accepted from current MFA students, so long as they will have their degree in hand by June 2022. The department welcomes a dedicated professional to play an active role in the collaborative culture of our faculty. A successful candidate will deliver curriculum in design and technology, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. The goal of this fellowship is to help the candidate bridge the gap between graduation and their teaching career by providing the space for them to develop their teaching and mentoring skills with faculty guidance

Minimum Qualifications:
  • MFA in Theatre confirmed no later than June 1,2022.
  • Experience designing theatrical lighting for different types of venues.
  • Experience working under pressure and tight deadlines, keeping keen attention to detail.
  • Evidence of strong leadership and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in other design areas including projection design.
  • Commitment to working with people holding similar or different world views while advocating for inclusion of all people.
