Job Description:

The Audio Engineering,Sound Design & Music Academy focuses on highly specialized skill sets that are in demand for creating today's broadcast, video, and streaming media.  During this pre-college summer program, students will practice writing, producing, and engineering sounds and music for a variety of media platforms through hands-on projects.The Faculty/Instructor for our Audio Engineering, Sound Design & Music Academy is responsible for ensuring that the academy experience for the campers is educational, fun, and aligns with Champlain College academic programs. The Faculty/Instructor is responsible for preparing discipline-specific curriculum, preparing lesson plans, and teaching/overseeing learning activities for four hours per day. Faculty/Instructors attend and assist other faculty in delivering their curricula, mentor and assist students in completing their final projects for the program, and are available at all program events to assist and support in the delivery of quality programming.  

Program dates July 24-  August 5, 2022


Requirements:

Appropriate candidates will have a background in the fields of writing, producing, and engineering sound and music for a variety of media platforms. Teaching experience and working with young adults in an educational environment is required.

  • Qualified to teach topic at the first-year college level
  • Experience teaching in the subject related to this Academy
  • Experience working with young adults in a summer camp or academic setting
  • Fluent in curriculum development
