Adjunct Instructor, Civil Engineering

Merrimack College is a selective, private college in a beautiful, residential setting — just minutes from Boston, Massachusetts.

Position Overview: The Civil Engineering Department invites applications for adjunct position(s) for classes held both day and evening during summer, fall and spring terms. A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and prior college-level teaching is desired; however candidates with an MS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with relevant industry experience will also be considered.

Classes may include:

• Reinforced Concrete Analysis & Design
• Structure Steel Analysis & Design
• Mechanics
• Fluid Mechanics
• Applied Hydrology

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate or first year graduate-level courses within their area of expertise. They will also teach a diverse population of students including traditional day students, continuing education students, international students, and adult learners.
