The Department of Language, Culture, and Gender Studies seeks to fill a one-year position. Teaching load is 4/4. PhD in English or closely related area required. 

Candidates should be prepared to teach American Literature before 1865, upper-division or graduate courses in the same period, genre courses for majors (fiction, poetry, or film), and first-year composition.

Experience providing high-quality online instruction is helpful. Our faculty members work at the intersections of rhetoric, literature, and gender studies. The ideal candidate is versatile, collaborative, collegial, and capable of contributing to our undergraduate and graduate programs. The department will provide mentoring, funding for professional travel, and opportunities for ongoing professional growth.
