The University of South Carolina Lancaster, a Palmetto College campus of the University of South Carolina located approximately thirty-five (35) miles south of Charlotte, NC seeks candidates for a non-tenure track 12- month appointment at the rank of Instructor of Psychology and Counselor beginning August 16, 2022 or January 1, 2023.

Applicants who hold a Masters degree or other appropriate degree in psychology or related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in psychology, including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach introductory courses in PSYC will be considered.

Applicants must have appropriate licensure/certification by the State of South Carolina through the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation for providing counseling services.

An Instructor/Counselor will normally teach three courses per year or its equivalent, including evening and distributed learning courses as needed, as well as have a commitment to university/community service. Experience teaching at the university level is preferred; this may have been gained during the course of pursuing a graduate degree.

Counselor duties are supervised by the Director of Student Success and Retention under the office of the Associate Dean.
