Purpose:
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams toward the execution of various marketing and communications solutions designed to meet strategic goals. The individual in this role will work closely with the Director of Marketing Operations to ensure that project briefs are clearly developed and projects are produced in the most efficient and effective way while maintaining the highest level of quality. The Project Manager will also assist in the monitoring and analyzing of the flow of work in the Office of Communications and standardizing the operations process to create a seamless experience for all participants. This role requires a high level of organization, the ability to advance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, and strong attention to building relationships with campus and external partners through strong interpersonal communication and project management skills.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Manage and help develop production
workflow of design team, copywriting, video production, and web
development.
Establish and
maintain standards for production processes and timelines for teams
working on content development and production.
Oversee projects from
creation to implementation across multiple teams: copy writing,
design, site development, email marketing, social media, and
more.
Manage the process of updating the
promotion of campus events.
Ensure up front that
project requirements are received and understood, and that projects
are delivered on time, meet strategic objectives, and fall within
approved scope parameters.
Schedule and
facilitate multiple weekly meetings including creative team
stand-ups, project kick-offs, creative approvals, and issue
resolution.
Works closely with
the creative team to discuss project status and priorities,
resource bandwidth concerns, and preparation for creative
approvals.
Establish and manage relationships with
campus and external partners.
Remain current in the profession through
various professional development activities.
Keep current with audience preferences
and proactively bring forward creative approaches and ideas.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in addition to 3+
years demonstrated experience as a project/client manager working
within a marketing/creative department or agency.
3+ years demonstrated
experience concurrently managing multiple medium- to large-scale
and more complex cross-divisional, multi-channel print and digital
projects in a fast-paced marketing department.
3+ years working with creative teams,
including design, copy, production, and photo/video.
3+ years'
demonstrated experience assisting with process improvement efforts
and implementing innovative solutions to solve operational
challenges.
Experience working with a structured
project management methodology and system (such as Asana)
preferred.
Excellent written,
verbal and interpersonal communication skills, able to flex style
and work with all levels within the organization from individual
contributors to executives.
Ability to work under pressure and meet
deadlines.
Experience working with content
management systems, such as Drupal, a plus.
