The University of Chattanooga Foundation seeks to fill the position of Assistant Athletics/Director for UT Chattanooga. The Assistant AD seeks to build and develop credible & sustainable relationships to generate financial support for UTC Athletics through the discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects and donors. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the annual fund for the Mocs Club through retention, engagement and growth strategies, the fundraising arm of UTC Athletics. Breakdown of percentage of job responsibilities listed below.

Lead and oversee the athletics annual fund in communication with the Associate AD/Development, including identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors at all giving tiers through in-person visits, phone calls, digital communications, and direct mail (60%).

Develop pipeline of prospective leadership supporters to support capital giving projects through annual fund identification (15%)

Lead aspects of affinity giving groups such as student-athlete alumni through the C Club in their engagement efforts with UTC Athletics, as well as work with designated sports to develop fundraising plans for their programs (10%)

Attend and assist with donor receptions and other department functions which will include nights and weekends. (10%)

Other duties as assigned related to fundraising initiatives or activities of the advancement functions. (5%)

Qualifications :

A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred. At least three years of experience is required in sales, marketing, or fundraising role. Salary is commensurate with experience.

A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position. UC Foundation reserves the right to consider all appropriate circumstances. In general, any significant driving offense less than 12 months old will eliminate the application from consideration for the position.

Experience in development, marketing, or sales related field is required. The ability and willingness to travel is required.

Skills: Excellent computer, verbal and written communication, and demonstrated organizational skills necessary. In addition, the position involves the need to be able to work independently, build relationships, and solicit gifts.
