Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Project Manager of IREPO Grant position. The Project Manager of IREPO Grant is responsible for directing/managing the grant through improving laboratories and support for high-demand health science programs; providing expanded faculty training and certification opportunities; and collaborating with the information technology department that will be implementing a customer relationship management (CRM) system as a strategy to provide the College with a competitive advantage to help attract, retain, and more efficiently and effectively serve its students. Taken together, these actions will decrease Montco’s vulnerability to future disruptions and improve institutional resilience.

This position is full-time and funded through the IREPO grant through July 2023.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education/Training/Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or related area required
  • Min. 3 years of administrative experience in higher education
  • Experience in budgeting for grant programs and academic units
  • Experience using performance indicators for measuring project success
  • Experience with U.S. Dept. of Education grants or other public grants preferred

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to match academic and student service program needs and College capabilities to resource opportunities.
  • Ability to interpret simple and complex demographic and statistical information
  • Strong software skills for electronic tracking, prospect research, and electronic grant submission and compliance requirements.
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse background.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communications skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to understand and monitor state regulations, laws, and requirements
  • Understanding of regulatory language and ability to translate regulatory language into institutional processes and procedures and reporting
  • Highly motivated, focused, and results oriented
  • Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal contacts, and to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks according to required deadlines
  • Maintain composure under stressful conditions
  • Ability to be optimistic, positive, and supportive in interactions with others
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with interactive, lecture capture, and related tools 
  • Working knowledge of mobile devices
  • Working knowledge of ADA compliance
