The Montana Geriatric Education Center ( MTGEC) invites applications for a Program Coordinator II to assist with meeting our initiatives for improving the health of older adults across the state of Montana. The Program Coordinator II will work under supervision of the MTGEC Associate Director, and will assist the MTGEC team with the organization, direction, development, and coordination of multiple MTGEC programs, budget management, data entry and grant reporting efforts. They will also provide support and assistance with public relations and communications. This position requires the ability to take initiative, adapt easily to change, work independently, and be detail oriented. There may be some travel required.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and integrated databases (for example, Banner or Access)
Minimum Required Experience
  • High school diploma (or equivalency), as well as at least one (1) year of related work experience; or any combination of experience and education that would provide the competencies required to successfully complete the duties assigned to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess experience with computers, website development, public relations, communications
  • Background or interest in working with older adults and/or programs for older adults, as well as an interest in working with students, faculty, and healthcare professionals.

Position Details

Position Title: Program Coordinator II

Position Number: NEW

Department: MTGEC

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year

Salary: $16.25/hr - Current employee’s rate of pay for this position will be determined by the staff compensation plan and will minimally be this posted salary. For questions and details regarding the staff compensation plan, email the Compensation Department .

Union Affiliation: FOCUS-MFPE

Probationary Period: Six months minimum
