Clinical Education Director/Clinical Assistant Professor, Physician Assistant Studies

 

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies in the School of Health & Human Sciences at Indiana University invites applications for a 12-month clinical assistant professor to fill the role of Clinical Education Director. The successful applicant will oversee the clinical phase of the program’s curriculum. Responsibilities include clinical placement, recruitment of clinical preceptors and sites, conduct clinical site visits, orient clinical instructional faculty, evaluation of clinical student performance, clinical course management, clinical phase curriculum development, and program evaluation and accreditation related to clinical phase. Additionally, the successful applicant will serve on program and school committees. Faculty members have opportunities and support for scholarly activity and faculty development.

Basic Qualifications:
· Master’s degree level or higher

  • Superb organizational skills
  • Management experience
  • Experience in the health care industry or health care education
  • Reliable transportation to conduct site visits
  • Ability to effectively network with internal and external partners
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Easily adapt to computer-based databases and software
