Responsibilities: Northern State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Banking and Financial Services.

Responsibilities include teaching both faceto-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in a learner-centered environment, academic mentoring, scholarly activity, and service to the university and community. The candidate filling this position will assume a leadership role in the growth of NSU’s undergraduate and graduate programs in Banking and Financial Services. Both NSU’s Banking and Financial Services undergraduate and graduate programs are applied in nature and are among only a few such programs in the nation. Developing NSU’s relationship with the financial industry throughout the state will be a significant element of this faculty position. The position is located in Aberdeen, SD on the campus of Northern State University.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications are an earned Juris Doctorate or business-related doctoral degree from an accredited institution. Significant professional experience at a managerial level in the banking and/or financial industry is strongly preferred. A national-level professional development certification or degree is highly preferred. Prior collegiate-level teaching experience is required. For appointment as an Associate Professor, the candidate must have previously held a professorial rank at that level at another institution. Appointment at the Associate Professor rank may also be awarded up to two years of prior service credit toward tenure.
