Position Description
The Science, Mathematics, and Social Science faculty in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts on the Downtown Phoenix campus of Arizona State University invite applications to establish a pool for Political Science Faculty Associates for the 2022-2023 academic year. The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate courses in Political Science; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Political Science or related field at time of appointment
- Two semesters’ post-secondary experience teaching Political Science courses in-person and/or on-line.
- Ability to teach in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
- Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
Desired Qualifications:
- Terminal degree in Political Science or related field at time of appointment
- Two years of full-time teaching experience in a post-secondary environment
- Evidence of effective teaching
- Experience teaching in a digital environment such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
- Demonstrated success meeting the needs of underrepresented students and/or diverse communities
