Department Summary
The University of Oregon Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will provide an outstanding collegiate experience to our student-athletes while enabling them to pursue excellence in the classroom, the community, and their lives while competing at the highest level in their chosen sport.
Position Summary
Direct and oversee concession services at Autzen Stadium, The Moshofsky Center, PK Park, and Pape Field. Assist Food Beverage Director and Concessions and Catering Manager to manage events at Matthew Knight Arena, Jane Sanders Stadium, and Hayward Field. Responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Pac-12 Conference, and the NCAA.
Minimum Requirements
  • Five years' experience in event food service operations.
  • Five years' experience in employee management.
  • Able to obtain Oregon Liquor Control Commission servers permit and obtain local Food Handlers Card.
  • Valid Driver's license with the ability to be approved to drive university vehicles.
    Professional Competencies
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Culinary Degree.
  • Two Years of work experience in collegiate or professional sports concessions.
  • Experience implementing and using a concession point of sale system, specifically Bypass.
  • Demonstrated history managing marketing elements that include product, price, portion, and production decisions.
  • Experience leading, training, and evaluating a part-time and not-for-profit volunteer workforce.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, knowledge, and experience in the latest trends in the industry.
  • Demonstrated innovation in marketing concessions to the event attendee.
  • ServSafe certified.
