Adjunct Research Faculty

Position Summary:

The VCU Life Sciences Department is looking for qualified applicants to apply for the position of Adjunct Research Faculty. This is a part-time (20% effort) position to build research and instructional capacity at the VCU Rice Rivers Center.

Required Qualifications:

Earned doctorate in the biological sciences and evidence of published scholarship in one or more of the following disciplines: phycology, harmful algal bloom ecology, algal toxin discovery and analysis, and microscopic and genomic algal species identification. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to generate extramural research funding and a working knowledge of analytical chemistry methods, including operation and maintenance of an HPLC instrument.
