The School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at the
Newark Campus of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, seeks
applicants for two full-time Assistant Professors to begin in the
Fall 2022 semester. Candidates will be expected to maintain an
active research agenda and to teach in SPAA's MPA program,
especially core courses, and in our BA program in public and
nonprofit administration. We are particularly interested in
candidates who have an interest in publicly engaged scholarship,
experience with teaching students from diverse cultural
backgrounds, and knowledge of or a background in diversity, equity
and inclusion. The responsibilities for this position will be to
teach two courses each semester (fall and spring). In addition, the
appointees will be expected to actively participate in service
activities within the School as assigned by the Dean. Candidates
must hold an earned doctorate in public administration or a related
field by the time of employment
