The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) invites
qualified applicants to apply for a full-time non-tenure track
faculty position. Must demonstrate practice in one of the spheres
of care articulated by the American Association of Colleges of
Nursing.
UNCP is a master’s level degree-granting university and one of
17 schools that comprise the University of North Carolina
system. The UNCP main campus is in Pembroke, N.C. a
quiet, safe community within 15 minutes from Lumberton, N.C.
Located just off Interstate 95 and Interstate 74 at the mid-point
between Boston and Miami, the campus is convenient to all major
metro areas of the Carolinas as well as world famous beaches and
resorts. UNCP is a dynamic educational institution

Minimum Training and Experience
Requirements: All candidates should have a minimum of
a Master’s degree in nursing and be licensed as a registered nurse
in North Carolina before employment. Preference will be given to
those who either have or are working toward earning doctoral degree
in nursing or related field.
Salary and rank are competitive and commensurate with
qualifications and experience. Candidates should have academic
experience appropriate for rank and minimum of two years clinical
experience.
Management Preferences: At least 5 years of experience in a nursing practice area. Masters preparation required, doctoral level preferred. National certification in clinical area of expertise preferred. The applicant must meet the Board of Nursing requirement to teach in North Carolina. Preference is given to applicants with teaching experience at the baccalaureate and /or masters level.
License Required: Unrestricted license as a registered nurse in North Carolina.
