Job Summary
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Residency and Tuition Classification, the Residency and Tuition Classification Specialist will be responsible for reviewing residency and tuition classification for new and returning undergraduate applicants. This position will also be responsible for assisting with other tasks to support Admission Operations and Processing.

Due to the Governor's approval for the Cost of Living Adjustment to Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023, final salaries at the time of hire may be impacted, but will not be lower than what is advertised.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Review application materials and reports to ensure accurate tuition classification status on all applications
  • Assist with applicant file review clean-up, reporting, and perform audits, as needed
  • Enter data into student record systems (Banner and Slate)
  • Manage student change requests including major, campus, term, information and cancellations
  • Communicate with applicants and family members to review residency documentation and tuition waiver requests
  • Answer routine student, parent and counselor inquiries concerning admissions policies and procedures, and assist with large on-campus recruitment events (i.e., open houses, Eagle Experience, and orientations)
  • Assist with managing the Admission Operations MyHelp ticket queue and residency email account
  • Serve as counselor on call and present information sessions as needed

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
  • Three (3) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in college admission, registrar, or enrollment areas
  • Experience in Banner student information system or tuition classification review

Proposed Salary
$35,900

This position is non-exempt and paid on a biweekly basis
