Summary/Objective
The Quality Control Manager will assure that Facilities Management will provide the highest quality of customer service, operations efficiency and construction services that will meet or exceed all stated requirements in which they are involved with respect to materials and workmanship. The Quality Control Manager has authority granted by the Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management, whom the position also reports. Day to day activities are coordinated with the supervisors in all Facilities Management departments, including the Customer Response Center, the assistant director of Capital Renewal/Deferred Maintenance, the director of Energy and Engineering and the director of Facilities.
Essential Functions
- Quality Control Inspections. Develop and maintain job
specific test log. Examine materials and equipment to be sure they
comply with approved submittals and the contract requirements.
Check for damaged or defective materials. Verify as-built drawings
are being maintained.
- Three Phase Inspection Program.Preparatory meetings and
reports. Initial phase inspections and reports. Follow-up phase
inspections and reports. Final phase inspections and reports.
- Daily Reports and Submittal Management.Prepare,
distribute, and maintain contemporaneous daily reports summarizing
information regarding all the above.
- Safety Assistance.Photo documentation of all job
deficiencies and safety concerns. Report out of these same
issues.
- Other. Attend all related internal operations meetings
and external training programs. Maintain awareness of AU’s
operations programs and aid where needed.
