FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Chemistry Department seeks an outstanding teacher with leadership potential to fill a lecturer position in Organic Chemistry. This is a full-time nine-month position with a workload of 24 assignable hours for teaching and other assignments. Duties include teaching organic chemistry lecture for nursing students and coordinate Organic Chemistry labs. Depending on the needs of the department, teaching responsibilities may be changed to other large and small lectures in organic chemistry or other areas of chemistry.
Teach Organic Chemistry courses Oversee and assist adjunct lecturers
Participate in course and curriculum development and assessment.
Work with the laboratory staff to coordinate the laboratory program at all levels of undergraduate organic chemistry
Advising and mentoring students
QUALIFICATIONS
Lecturer: Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree perferred in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, or related field with demonstrable teaching experience in organic chemistry.
Doctoral Lecturer: Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, or related field with demonstrable teaching experience in organic chemistry required.
COMPENSATION
Commensurate with rank, education, accomplishment and experience. Lecturer Doctoral Schedule: $55,677 - $96,351
Lecturer: $51,021 - $91,027
