Program Director, Educational Opportunity Center

Job Description:

Plans, develops, and administers a broad-based Educational Opportunity Center which functions harmoniously with area post-secondary institutions and other agency programs and activities. Reports to the Dean, Federal Programs and Grants.

Supervise and evaluate program staff.

Establish and maintain relationships with area secondary and postsecondary institution and other programs to ensure cooperative referrals.

Responsible for administering program budget.

Facilitates participant identification and selection activities through media broadcast, seminars, other programs currently working with potential Educational Opportunity Center participants, and liaison relationships with social service agencies within the community.

Evaluates center activities to ensure consistency with Educational Opportunity Center purposes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a master's degree in education, social work, or closely related field, and two years full time experience in administering a similar program or similar work in post-secondary educational programs are required. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

SALARY RANGE : $44,000.00 - $47,500.00
