These are both full-time, 9-month, tenure track, bargaining unit position located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois.  Positions begin Fall semester 2022.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for teaching 15 credit hours per semester, which may include classes during the day or evening. Classes may be in a structured setting at any JWCC center, hybrid, or online. Courses will include general biology and additional courses in life sciences dependent on the successful candidate’s qualifications. Other duties may include course development and updates.

Requires a willingness to be involved in activities including professional development, committee membership, curriculum review, academic assessment, and participation in systematic planning for program evaluation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

A Master’s degree in Natural Sciences or a related field is required; Doctorate preferred.  Community college teaching experience as well as experience in teaching through multiple delivery methods preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for teaching 15 credit hours per semester which may include classes during the day or evening. Classes may be in a structured setting, online, or Open Learning at multiple JWCC centers. Classes may include any of the topics listed below or other accounting and business topics as needed.

  • Principle of Accounting I & II
  • Payroll and Tax Accounting
  • Computerized Accounting
  • Managerial Accounting
  • Intermediate Accounting I & II

Duties will include course development and updates. Requires a willingness to be involved in activities including committee membership, curriculum review, and participation in systematic planning for program evaluation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

A Master’s degree with CPA required. Must have knowledge of business research, practices, and regulations including accounting procedures and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills and intermediate to advanced computer skills required. Community college teaching experience, as well as experience in teaching through multiple delivery methods preferred. The successful candidate must be fully credentialed per Higher Learning Commission and Illinois Community College Board standards upon date of hire.
