Salary for Announcement
The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $68,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Position Summary
This position exists to function as the Co-Coordinator of the Auraria Immunization office. Duties include administering all aspects of immunization compliance for the three higher education institutions on the Auraria Campus.

Duties/Responsibilities
Duty Statement Auraria Immunization Office a.) ensures quality assurance of all aspects of the Auraria Immunization policy for all three institutions of higher education on the Auraria Campus. b.) serves as an internal Auraria campus resource and subject matter specialist regarding immunizations for administration, co-workers and campus constituents. c.) responsible for oversight of training and practice standards. d.) responsible for determining, selecting and ordering of all immunizations and supplies. e.) collaborates with multiple campus departments to ensure that all parties are aware of the campus immunization requirement(s) and the specifics of these requirements. f.) quality assurance responsibilities: develops clinical protocols/polices/procedures; adheres to OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, Family Practice, State/Federal Regulations. g.) administers immunizations (and if needed X-rays) to patients determining any contra-indications prior to administration..
Duty Statement Tri-Institutional Administration of Immunization Requirement a.) develops individualized institutional programming resources b.) advises administration of all three schools on operational issues and logistics for efficient compliance of their individual constituents. c.) coordinates all IT needs unique to each institution, incorporating various specific nuances d.) develops individualized strategies to address institutional goals, implementing multiple strategies according to collaborative objectives directly linked to each particular institution e.) creates marketing strategies and educates campus constituents using multiple methodologies including web-sites, direct mail, e-mail, texting, student orientation, Admissions Office literature, digital communications, etc.
Duty Statement Management of the Immunization Electronic Health Record ( EHR ) System a.) administers the electronic health record system that is utilized for all Auraria campus immunization documentation b.) develops EHR system improvements and works with IT at each of the institutions to incorporate changes to each schools electronic record systems c.) responsible for all system reports including those unique to each institution and those that are required by the State of Colorado Department of Health and Human Services d.) audits records for quality assurance and input accuracy e.) develops processes to ensure the timely removal of student account “holds” and tailors processes to meet the individual desires of each institution f.) ensures inclusion/coordination of immunization data with the Health Center’s main EHR system by providing Health Center administration advise and consultation.
Duty Statement Auraria Campus Immunization Specialist/Liaison with the State Health Department a.) creates bi-annual and/or annual summary reports as required by the State Department of Health and Human Services b.) provides detailed analysis of all reported data, documenting trends and unique findings c.) represents each higher education institution at all State of Colorado immunization meetings d.) provides detailed recommendations to the State regarding immunization requirements for higher education e.) serves as institutional consultant for immunizations, providing specialized expertise to all constituents as requested f.) serves as the Auraria Higher Education representative for all higher education immunization initiatives/program discussions between the State and other Colorado institutions of higher education g.) serves as campus lead for all communicable disease interventions, and when applicable, the administering of disease specific immunizations/vaccines to Auraria constituents; coordinates with the State Health Department and is responsible for communicating strategic intervention strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Clinical immunization experience
- Experience administering various vaccines/immunizations
- Experience in record keeping
- Knowledge of contraindications and thorough knowledge of current immunization practices/protocols
- Knowledge of emergency protocols
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with insurance,
- Experience providing exceptional customer service
- Phone triage experience
