Description:
Pratt Institute is seeking an A/V Specialist who is a creative problem solver with excellent communication, technical, and organizational skills to support the Instructional Computing Department. The successful candidate will manage the daily operations of the Satellite Computer Lab and the Audio/Visual infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide physical plant support of the Satellite Computing Lab facility and technical support of hardware, software, servers, and network connectivity for all computer lab equipment, supervise student staff, and provide support to lab users and digital output services. This position will handle administering the standardization of all A/V systems, including planning, analysis, and implementation of A/V-related processes and best practices. If you can demonstrate the ability to operate and oversee the use of technical equipment and hardware, can demonstrate excellent analytical and time management skills when managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and have experience with service management platforms, then we want to hear from you!

On a typical day you will be required to:

• Manage the daily operation of the Satellite Labs' physical space including computing equipment, network, and furniture; and coordinate with Facilities for all necessary work.
• Responsible for infrastructure support of the department's audio and visual equipment and communications resources.
• Manage student worker staff including hiring, scheduling, and training.

Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree or HS Diploma with equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Two years minimum experience in a networked Windows and Mac computing environment.

Skills: Advanced knowledge of Windows and Mac Software and hardware, Advanced knowledge of Audio/Visual Systems.
Experience imaging and configuring computers, basic troubleshooting skills, deployment and migration skills, customer service skills, and demonstrated knowledge of graphics software and practical knowledge of video input. Must have the ability to work well with diverse populations.
