West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), part of the WVU system of campuses located in Beckley, WV, is currently inviting applications and nominations for the following employment opportunity:

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering within the Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering and Sciences, seeks to hire a tenure track Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering. The department offers two-degree programs: BS degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) and BS degree in Computer Engineering (CpE). The department also offers an area of emphasis in Electrical Energy Systems. The position is 9-month, tenure track, full-time, and benefits-eligible.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Electrical and Computer Engineering courses for baccalaureate programs. The successful candidate will also be expected to pursue scholarly/research activities and perform other service associated with a faculty position. Commitment to teaching excellence, student-centered scholarly/research activities, responsiveness to student needs, and good communication skills are essential.

WVU Tech is a divisional campus of the West Virginia University system and is located in Beckley, West Virginia. Qualifications :
  • An earned doctorate in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • The successful candidate must have excellent teaching abilities and show potential in scholarly/research activities, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
