The Director of Assessment reports to the Director of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness. This position supports all areas of the College in academic and institutional assessment processes for making data driven decisions. This includes coordination in designing and implementing assessment projects including learning and operational outcomes, student retention and success measures, program evaluation, satisfaction and benchmarking, program review and accreditation support.

This position supports and continuously improves the College’s faculty- driven academic assessment program that aligns with accreditation standards and strategic goals; and evaluates program and institutional effectiveness. The position will champion a culture of evidence and improvement, and outcomes-based assessment, and develop a structured, systemic assessment program of student services and programs. The Director of Assessment routinely participates in the Middle States accreditations process. This position is part of an integrated unit providing professional development for faculty.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A master’s degree with a minimum of one to three years college teaching experience or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of experience conducting assessment of student learning, conducting data analysis and preparing presentations and reports regarding assessment.  
  • Knowledge of non-academic institutional assessment in various forms, such as student services and non-cognitive assessment
  • Demonstrated experience leading college committees and/or project teams.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work independently and effectively with all segments of the college community.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; with evidence of a collaborative and cooperative work style, posting and updating webpages is desirable
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to successfully direct multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in technology and the use of integrated information systems.
  • Knowledge of the assessment requirements of the of the state, federal, and regional accrediting agencies.
  • Commitment to strengthening diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
