- SUMMER INSTRUCTOR
SUMMARY:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred; Secondary teaching certification in the related field able to teach the subjects of Math, Science, and English and Spanish teaching students in grades 9th-12th for high school instruction; at least two years teaching experience; previous experience working with underrepresented students preferred. Preference is given to candidates from low-income and first-generation college student backgrounds. The dates will be June 12th - July 12th and will work 6 hours per day.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop courses to reflect the Upward Bound Program mission and the participants' academic needs (tutoring); function as members of the team whose efforts are directed toward the total development and well-being of program participants; work closely with an academic counselor and other program staff. Reporting the progress of participants as well as performing other duties as assigned.
