Job Description:

The Department of Management in Western Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor in Management - Operations Management starting August 15, 2022.

Anticipated teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in operations management, decision modeling, and related courses in operations/supply chain management. The successful candidate will have demonstrated capability for high-impact scholarly research and excellent teaching in an environment where collaboration and collegiality are valued. Service to the department, college, university, and the profession is expected.

The Management Department currently has 17 full-time faculty members. The department supports four undergraduate concentrations in business administration, human resource management, entrepreneurship, and global business, and an MBA program. (https://www.wku.edu/management/)

The Gordon Ford College of Business is AACSB accredited in both business and accounting and currently offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in various business majors. The Department of Management houses the largest number of majors within the College and is one of the largest programs on campus.

 


Requirements:

A qualified candidate should have obtained a Ph.D. degree in operations management, supply chain management from an AACSB accredited business school, or a closely related discipline from an internationally/nationally accredited program or school.
