Job Description:
In support of Dining Service's mission and values, the incumbent may be called upon to perform any one or a combination of the following functions to set up, serve and break down catering events. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Setting dining tables and buffet tables with china, flatware, glassware, and linens.
- Run food from designated kitchen area to dining area on demand
- Set buffets with food presentation standing and practice in mind; ensuring safe food handling.
- Serving beverages and food items tableside to the guest.
- Prepare alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages while keeping a clean bar area
- Ability to interact with customers and staff in a pleasant and professional manner. Waits on customers in a timely and courteous manner, representing Holy Cross and the Dining department. Adheres to established customer service goals and standards.
- Assist in keeping a clean working area. Ensures that all front-of-house areas are properly maintained by wiping, washing, sweeping and picking up debris.
- Ensures that all health code procedures are followed. This includes but is not limited to; temperature management, personal hygiene and sanitation.
- Works independently and efficiently to set up and break down catering events at various campus locations and off-campus locations, and according to the venue's specific requirements.
- Flexibility to work at various locations on campus as directed by the supervisor in order to meet department-wide needs.

Requirements:

This position is classified as non-exempt level position for purposes of the federal wage and hour law. This position offers base pay plus generous gratuities.
