Job Description Summary

Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants interested in joining the Wentworth community as a Work Control Supervisor.

Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities, the Work Control Supervisor assists with Managing and Supervising the facilities maintenance activities within the zones and department as it relates to ensuring all data, work processes and CMMS procedures are followed. This position is responsible for management of the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (School Dude) for the department as well as oversight of the job request work flow and associated records.
When required, supervise assigned Physical Plant and student labor while working within the guidelines of WIT policies and the Union staff Agreement.

Duties include:
  • Assign work orders and track all activities through the completion of the work order.
  • Provide all necessary data, assets, design strategies, changes, updates, and maintenance of the CMMS software.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers for Capital Projects occurring within the zones.
  • Manage selected maintenance contracts within the School Dude System.
  • Develop reports as required.
  • Monitor and manage expenditures.
Additional responsibilities include the management of Shipping/Receiving operations. Unionized staff boot allowance and uniform replacements management of Department website updating and content, department notices to campus. As a Supervisor, this position is part of departmental structure that relies on the ability to fill in for other Managers when the need arises.
