The Human Resource Services department at the University of Montana is looking for someone to join our HRS family as we partner with the University of Montana (UM) community and affiliated campuses to provide solutions and services to support the success of the UM mission.

We provide human resource and payroll services to more than 4,300 employees. The work you do is challenging, yet rewarding, and will have a positive and lasting effect on approximately 800 of your UM colleagues on a consistent basis. You will utilize your analytical skills when reviewing information in the form of data, collective bargaining agreements, legislation, policies, and procedures, which will inform your ability to provide effective answers; problem-solve solutions; and provide in-the-moment training and consultation. Your technological skills will be valuable while ensuring that the records you are responsible for will be accurately maintained. You will have the opportunity to provide exceptional service to a wide variety of individuals. You will build an understanding of all areas of HRS; as well as the culture and needs of the individuals who work at the University of Montana and our sister campuses in Butte, Dillon and Helena.

Position Details

Position Function: HR Generalist (Payroll_Benefits Technician III)

Position Number: 013450

Department: Human Resource Services

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year.

Salary: $17.143/ hr.

Union Affiliation: None

Probationary Period: Six months minimum

Benefits Include : Insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program.
