About the Division of Graduate Nursing, College of Nursing and Health Professions

The Division of Graduate Nursing is an academic unit in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, which houses Advanced Practice Nursing, Advanced Role MSN, Complementary/Integrative Health, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. The College of Nursing and Health Professions has more than a century long history of educating nurses and health professionals. Job Summary

The Division of Graduate Nursing at Drexel University invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track Full-Time (12-Month) Assistant Clinical Professor, beginning the Fall Quarter of 2022. This position is primarily a daytime and evening online/hybrid teaching position. The qualified candidate will also oversee the development and management of the College of Nursing and Health Profession’s Colposcopy Course

Essential Functions

The successful candidate will teach across the Division of Graduate Nursing with a focus on the Women’s Health Gender-Related Nurse Practitioner program. Faculty members in the Division of Graduate Nursing must be willing to teach across the graduate, doctoral, and undergraduate curriculum, as needed. Faculty members must demonstrate teaching excellence that draws upon the instructor's depth and breadth of knowledge, clinical experience, and scholarship. Job responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining a teaching assignment consistent with a full-time workload
  • Preparation of innovative teaching materials or instructional techniques
  • Development/refinement of innovative coursework, as needed
  • Course coordination and oversight, as needed
  • Academic advisement in relation to the learning process and course outcomes
  • Active participation in scholarship, service, and professional organization membership
  • Oversight and management of the College of Nursing and Health Profession’s Colposcopy course
  • Other duties, as required
Required Qualifications
  • PhD or Doctorate, Nursing
  • Two years related experience
Other requirements
  • An earned master’s degree in the Science of Nursing (MSN) is required
  • An earned doctorate degree or current enrollment in a doctoral program is required
  • Qualify for appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor (Non-Tenure Track) based on Drexel University and College of Nursing and Health Professions promotion guidelines
  • Have experience in teaching nursing at the graduate level, specifically in a nurse practitioner program (minimum of 2 years)
  • Expertise in colposcopy is preferred
  • Be licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse/Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and eligible for licensure in the State of Pennsylvania is required
  • Hold national certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Current clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner (minimum 3 years) is required
