Job Summary
The D. Abbott Turner College of Business at Columbus State University seeks qualified candidates for a tenure track position in Marketing at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2022. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a specialization within Marketing defined by research and publications and an understanding of marketing in the global economy.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Deliver high-quality instruction through the planning and implementation of effective learning strategies and environments, utilizing a variety of student engagement strategies in the classroom to ensure active student participation.
  • Coordinating internships including monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining existing internships and developing additional internship opportunities.
  • Adapt courses for both in-person and on-line formats, ensuring that the student experience is equivalent across modalities.
  • Promote student success through timely communication, timely grading and other feedback, and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Work comfortably with a diverse student population, including dual-enrolled high school students, traditional college students, and nontraditional college students, demonstrating a commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful interactions with persons of diverse ethnic, cultural, social-economic, or educational backgrounds.
  • Meet professional expectations by maintaining professional currency, attending college meetings as needed, and contributing to a collaborative culture across the College.
  • Participate in student advising and other service duties as assigned.
  • Maintain appropriate faculty qualifications for the purpose of AACSB accreditation.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate in Marketing or related field from a fully accredited institution, but ABD candidates with documentation of degree completion prior to June 2023 will be considered. Candidates must show evidence of teaching success and potential to maintain an active research agenda to stay academically qualified per AACSB; show a willingness and ability to employ technology in teaching; be committed to advising and mentoring students, quality teaching, and continued instructional and scholarly development; and support a strong commitment to practices that support the University's focus on student engagement, problem solving, and active learning.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given for candidates that have experience with active and experiential learning methodologies and specialties in Social Media, Digital Marketing and/or Marketing Analytics.

Proposed Salary
The salary for this position is commensurate with education and relevant experience and includes full benefits.
