Job Summary/Basic Function



The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Maryville University (St. Louis) has an opening at the Assistant Professor level for the 2022-2023 academic year. This opening requires someone who can work on campus, and who has specialty and expertise in language and cognitive disorders and school-based services. Responsibilities include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, providing clinical supervision, mentoring students in research projects, and providing service to the department and University. The department is housed in a brand-new state-of-the-art facility and is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA). Candidates need to possess the CCC-SLP and qualify for a Missouri SLP license. Candidates must be committed to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff and students.



Minimum Qualifications



Candidates must hold a Master’s in speech-language pathology or related field (PhD and/or EdD preferred); ability to teach and supervise on campus; CCC-SLP certification; and eligible for Missouri licensure



Preferred Qualifications



• Expertise in the following areas are preferred: school-based services, and fluency
