Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
The Department of English at Sam Houston State University announces an opening for a nine-month lecturer position to begin Fall 2022. The successful candidate will teach Freshman Composition, participate in the overall composition program, and provide service to the department and discipline. Teaching load is five (5) sections per semester. Educational Requirements for the Position
A Masters degree in English is required. Experience Required for the Position
Successful applicants will have substantial experience teaching Freshman Composition and demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching effectiveness (e.g., formal student, peer, and/or chair evaluations). The department offers several undergraduate writing courses online. Other Requirements for the Position Special Instructions Summary
