The New England School of Communications is looking for a part-time
adjunct faculty member to teach the MK 322 Social Media Marketing
Course (position may also include MK 228 Digital Marketing
Principles & Strategies currently scheduled for the Spring 2023
semester). This course is offered in a traditional 15 week
face-to-face format on the Bangor campus currently scheduled in the
evenings on Thursdays - 6-8:50 pm - once per week. This opening is
during the Fall 2022 semester (8/29/22-12/16/22)
This course utilizes a highly interactive format to teach students the tools of social media, how to understand and establish their online profile, and ways to connect with others to market themselves and a business. Learning to effectively use the right tools can help students achieve marketing objectives and better navigate the vast array of marketing methods for managing an online profile and presence. Students will be required to learn and use podcasts, chats, forums, wikis, comment areas, twitter, and picasa productively. They will also be expected to participate as a member of the online community.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide students proper instruction with content, and utilize text books required for this course to achieve MK 322 outcomes
• Accurately track and assess student progress and maintain Husson University standards
• Advising the Academic Director on proposed curricular changes
• Assisting the department in experiential assessments & exercises where appropriate
• Assist in the research and assessment of industry trends and future technologies concerning curriculum
• Additional Responsibilities:
o Gathering data and preparing detailed documents
o Representing the School off campus when appropriate
o Serving on committees, as appropriate
o Performing other duties as assigned by the administration
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
Masters Degree Required. MFA or other terminal degree preferred.
Experience:
At least 1-3 years of work experience in related field. College level teaching experience preferred.
