The New England School of Communications is looking for a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach the MK 220 Marketing Fundamentals Course. This position may also include the MK 338 Marketing Research course. This course has two sections running for 15 weeks offered in a traditional face-to-face format on the Bangor campus. This opening is during the Fall 2022 semester (8/29/22-12/16/22) MK 220 Section 001 is scheduled for Tues. & Thurs. 9:30-10:45am EST and MK 220 Section 002 is scheduled for Tues. & Thurs. 11:00am-12:15pm EST.

The course in an introduction to the language and issues of marketing with an emphasis on learning to develop responsive marketing strategies that meet customer needs. The course focuses on basic marketing concepts, the role of marketing in the organization, and the role of marketing in society. Topics include market segmentation, product development, promotion, distribution, and pricing. In addition, the course provides emphasis on self-marketing and concise oral and written presentation.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide students proper instruction with content, and utilize text books required for this course to achieve MK 220 outcomes
• Accurately track and assess student progress and maintain Husson University standards
• Advising the Academic Director on proposed curricular changes
• Assisting the department in experiential assessments & exercises where appropriate
• Assist in the research and assessment of industry trends and future technologies concerning curriculum
• Additional Responsibilities:
o Gathering data and preparing detailed documents
o Representing the School off campus when appropriate
o Serving on committees, as appropriate
o Performing other duties as assigned by the administration

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education:
Masters Degree Required. MFA or other terminal degree preferred.

Experience:
At least 1-3 years of work experience in related field. College level teaching experience preferred.
