The Dahlkemper School of Business at Gannon University seeks to fill a full-time, nine-month faculty position for its Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics program to begin in Fall 2022. Candidates will be considered for a tenure-track or teaching-track position, at the Assistant Professor level, depending upon qualifications.
 Teaching requirements consist of classes in the MBA in Business Analytics program and possibly undergraduate courses, depending upon the candidate's background. The normal teaching load is 24 credits per academic year for tenure-track faculty and 27 credits per academic year for teaching-track faculty. Teaching may occur in face-to-face or hybrid modalities.
 Tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate ability toward scholarly activity in their fields, keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship; an earned doctorate (or completed by August 1, 2022) and prior teaching experience are required. Tenure-track and teaching-track faculty are expected to demonstrate teaching excellence and be prepared to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate level, maintain an appropriate level of professional development, advise students, and provide service to the university and community.
 Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in business administration, business computer information systems, business/data analytics, or a closely related field. Doctoral candidates near completion are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency with advanced features of Excel and working knowledge of SAS. Faculty teaching in the graduate program will also need proficiency in other related business analytics technologies (Tableau, Python, Power BI, and others)
  •  A strong commitment to teaching excellence. Experience working with a diverse student body is desirable.
  •  A well-defined research agenda and the potential to publish in quality peer-review journals within their area of expertise are required for a tenure-track appointment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with combined academic and professional experience in business and computer science/business analytics.
 Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Experience teaching analytics at the graduate (or undergraduate) level Preference is given to those with backgrounds in accounting or with graduate capstone course experience in the 
  • Business Analytics space.
  • Private industry experience in a business analytics role.
  •   Business Analytics Certification(s).
