The WCU IT Division offers up to 40% remote work when applicable and invests heavily in professional development.
Position Summary
This position leverages their innovative knowledge of network technologies to design, create and maintain a robust and reliable network that meets the needs of the university. The engineer collaborates with the networking team and IT Division staff to develop and support all aspects of the campus voice, video, data, and CATV networks. Additionally, the engineer maintains network management systems, assists in maintaining the campus network, security and ensure accurate network documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience supporting a complex enterprise network.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage short and long-term projects with high complexity that includes coordination with internal and external resources.
- Individual must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; and the ability to work as an independent, productive, responsible, and self-motivated member of a team in high-pressure situations.
