The Coordinator for New Student Enrollment develops, manages and implements all new student enrollment initiatives at the College.

Responsibilities include coordinating on- and off-campus enrollment programs; counseling prospective students and their families about policies and procedures related to enrolling at the College; composing correspondence to prospective students; developing and maintaining tracking information procedures; requesting enrollment reports; planning and implementing recruitment events; providing marketing information to promote new student enrollment programs and events; coordinating campus tours and visits; maintaining the Admissions Community Event Calendar; and coordinating event coverage. Other duties include hiring, training, and supervising full-time, part-time, and student Admissions Welcome Desk staff; representing the College at College and community events; assisting at the Welcome Desk as needed; working with the Office of Communications to prepare promotional items, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This is an exempt, professional staff position.

Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

A bachelor’s degree and three to five years of experience working in higher education admissions or a closely related field are required. Experience should include advising new students, planning and executing events, and community outreach and engagement activities.

Other requirements include excellent communication skills; the ability to coordinate and oversee programs and outreach events; the ability to assist in the development of marketing materials; the ability to directly supervise and evaluate staff; intermediate Windows-based computer skills; and the ability to effectively communicate policies and procedures to a diverse community.
