The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide announces an exciting opportunity in the Registrar's Office. This position will process all transcript requests received by Worldwide Registrar’s Office. Research archived records and create records in the Student Information System to produce an official transcript. This may include posting graduation and academic statuses, determine eligibility for release of transcript based on student's account and FERPA restrictions. This role will communicate ineligibility issues with students and /or campuses, process, and deliver transcripts daily (both electronic and paper transcripts), and utilize Credential’s system software.

This position engages in extensive telephone and email contact with students and campuses requiring assistance with transcripts and records requests. Additionally, this role maintains routine in-person and telephone contact with investigators seeking student educational records.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Processing transcript requests received by the Worldwide Registrar’s Office.

  • Researching archived records and create records in the Student Information System to produce an official transcript.

  • Communicating ineligibility issues with students and /or campuses.

  • Processing and delivering transcripts utilizing Credential’s system software.

  • Managing pending/incomplete requests and conducting follow-up.

  • Determining eligibility for release of transcript in accordance with University policy and federal restrictions (FERPA).

  • Coordinating with the National Student Clearinghouse on reporting functions and student records updates with credit and graduation data for release.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent.

  • (1-3) years of work-related experience in customer service, higher education, administration, or other fields.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Ability to adapt and learn changing technological enhancements. 

  • Ability to re-establish priorities and be flexible.

  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors/managers and colleagues.

  • Great customer service skills.
