Chief Activation Officer

Our client, the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC or “the Auraria Campus”) is seeking a Chief Activation Officer (CAO). AHEC is a dynamic and vibrant higher education community located in the heart of downtown Denver. The 150-acre campus is shared by three separate and distinct institutions of higher learning: Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver. AHEC is a separate state entity whose role is to provide and manage shared services, facilities, and property to support these prominent institutions in achieving their goals. The collective student population is approximately 38,000, with an additional 5,000 faculty and staff.

The Chief Activation Officer (CAO) is responsible for activating meaningful partnerships by bringing them to the Auraria campus.  This includes a focus on driving events to campus that provide long term-sustained visitation and activation to the campus by developing strategic relationships.  This position will be an outward facing position and serves as AHEC’s external events leader/contact for Downtown Denver and the State of Colorado for events.
