Position Summary:
The Assistant Counsel serves under the general oversight of the University Counsel and provides legal counsel to the highest levels of University administration in areas including but not limited to contracts, employment law, and higher education law, as well as is responsible for the development and oversight of University policies and regulations.

Minimum Education:

• J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Membership and good standing in a State Bar (KY membership required by date of hire) and must be maintained throughout employment

Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of related legal experience, preferably in the legal areas of contracts, employment and/or higher education law.
