Doane University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach a variety of art courses in the Department of Art and Design beginning August 2022. Typical courses may include Art Appreciation, Two-Dimensional Design, and various sections of Art History.

The types of duties associated with the teaching assignment include:

  • Developing or updating course syllabi.
  • Preparing lectures.
  • Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
  • Meeting all designated class periods and submitting completed final grades according to College regulations.
  • Conducting student course evaluations following University procedures.
  • Actively participating in departmental life.

Qualifications:

  • M.A. or M.F.A. required
  • Teaching experience preferred
